I can't think of any anymore. .

In my opinion some of the best Jewish deli fare I have had is at 3G's in Delray Beach, although that is getting far from Miami! Poppies in Delray used to also be incredible but has slid in recent years. Broward's deli scene died too , although there are some cool Israeli Pita joints opening all over the place . Somebody on this site did recommend me a place in Davie though, gotta try it.

^ I am the one who mentioned the place in Davie. There are other locations of this Deli in South Florida but I just go to the one in Davie since it is closest to me.

If you remember Corky's deli the owner of that deli Semore Paley (not sure if the name is spelled correctly) is also a part owner of this place. He helps out every once in awhile in the Davie location. He is in his 80's and that guy still rocks n rolls with the best of them

The portions are HUGE but so are the prices (fair warning).

Here is the website to the deli its called Roasters n Toasters: Welcome to Roasters'n Toasters Deli (broken link)

For breakfast I usually get egg whites, lox, and onions with the best cinnamon and raisen bagels around.

If I prefer lunch I go for their brisket sandwich on a kaiser roll.

I'm curious- is Wolfie's still around? I haven't been there in a few years...it made me feel like I was having my grandmother's cooking!

Like everything else of history in Miami, Wolfies is gone. I believe that the Rascal House is also. If it was here in the 50's it is most likely now demolished and/or renovated out of existance. Rmember, Miami has to destroy its past to make money for the foreign investors.

I called the phone number and it looks like the rascal house is still open. Not sure about the quality of the food, but probably worth a look if it is still the way it used to be.

Define "Jewish"?

Do you mean kosher? There are some good kosher restaurants that sell Chinese, Thai, American Contential, etc. There is also a sizeable Israeli presence in South Broward. Several shrawma shops in Aventura, Hollywood & South Beach.

As for Ashkenaz deli type fare...there is a place (forget the name) in the Skylake area....right on Ives Dairy road east of the Publix. If you are heading east, it's on the left hand side.

Come on boys and girls. Keep naming some good Jewish delis or restaurants that are still open in Miami/Broward county.

Lets start a list with the name of the place, the location and what kind of food is served.
