As much as Cubans? I doubt it...

But on the internet you might find stats saying that the Colombian population in Miami is higher than the Cuban - you can find anything on the internet.

The census page is shutdown, along with the government but I found the numbers in my old posts.

Quote:

Cuban: 893,628
Colombian: 113,995
Nicaraguan: 109,433
Puerto Rican: 94,033

nope and it's not surprising either. most of them are from rural parts of colombia and are fleeing the armed conflict in the country though recently it seems that more of them are coming for economic reasons rather than political.

Interesting, especially since the total population of Miami in 2010 was estimated at 399,457. Are your figures including all of South Florida?

399,457 is the total population for the City of Miami. The figures listed previously are probably for Dade County, including the City of Miami.

Not everybody. Most of them are asked for their families already settled down for years (my case), and I lived in the capital, got a job and stability and brought my well earned money here ( which doesn't happen with Cubans) However, I haven't known the first immigrant living at the U.S. that have came for not making big bucks.
