Hi, I am planning to stay for 1 month at Miami Children's Hospital. Is it safe to move around that area? Where do you recommend to look for housing or temporal rent? I prefer to move by MetroRail or bus, not to rent a car (US$1000 for a month of car rent!). Thanks!

Yes it is safe. I have friends who live not even a mile from it and have no issues. The bus does go down all main roads, but is a slow way to travel.

Generally pretty safe, no problems. The area near Miller and south of Bird Rd just west of Coral Gables is the more 'cheap - not that cheap though - and cheerful' area there. Pretty good overall. Also the area around the Hospital itself is good enough as well.
