3 Young professionals aged 22+ looking to move to Miami. Can spend 600 each on rent. Where is a safe place to live with good nightlife?

What's with all these "moving to Miami" threads as of late? I swear, there ought to be a sticky with a list of "things to know before you consider moving to Miami".

$1,800 a month wont get you much more than small 1 bedroom or maybe a very small 2 bedroom in a nice area FYI.
3 young "professonals" should be able to afford a little bit more if you want to live where the action is, AKA South Beach or Brickell. If you want a three bedroom you would need to get out into the subrubs for an apartment type of place.

There are some not so great areas which are fairly close to nightlife but I am not really sure if there are many three bedroom places there.

To sum it up, threed bedrooms for $1,800 a month is not easy to find and have fun trying to park three cars if that is the plan because you will be lucky to find a building which gives you one spot for free. Parking will cost each at least $100-$125 a month in the good nightlife areas if not more. Which comparing it to D.C. or NYC is really cheap.

It's winter time up north, so people are cold and want to move to a warm climate.

Not a bad budget for a few young professionals.

FlyMIA is quite right, definitely. In that budget you'll either live in the suburbs in a larger place - but more isolated and probably with a dreary commute - or you'll have to rent something perhaps smaller in a probably older bldg in a better area.

If it's possible, allocate more money for rent to live more nicely and near everything, and be thrifty on other less important things.
