The illegal drug business and insane amounts of immigration pushed Miami in the toilet and the handle was flushed. It spins around today, but once the financial sector collapses, Miami will go down the toilet hole. The prevalance of hot money flowing in Miami is what makes people materialistic. The extreme amounts of migration from the first and third worlds makes labor cheap and suppresses wages. Deep down most in the Miami area are unhappy, and it shows in their relationships. The secret to surviving Miami is to either have an escape plan or keep yourself disconnected from it. You may live there, but your heart is somewhere else.
My magic 8 ball tells me your friends PROBABLY moved to Montana and now live on a Militia compound, am i right?

*just kidding, sorta*

They don't dominate any SIGNIFICANT city, at least on the eastern seabord.

I do not have friends in montana but one just moved back to the family farm in Nebraska. He came to Miami for the gay scene, but has become disgusted with gay men and decided to go back to the country.
