Default tap water

I don't know about Miami, but here it tastes like ...well you know. I'm sure it might be SAFE to drink, but the taste leaves something to be desired. I buy cheap bottled water at the grocery store.

Even in "Third world" Miami-Dade, you should know that water all over the United States is among the most well tested and safest in the world. It might not taste great, but it won't make you sick no matter where you live.

Ok, back to work now!

The March 20,2008 Miami New Times article, "Poisoned Well: What was contaminating our drinking water? Who knows - Dade officials stopped looking," states that cancer-causing benzene has contaminated the Northwest Wellfield, which supplies a majority of the county's drinking water. There have also been reports of a lymphoma cancer cluster in Miami Beach.

Water is safe to drink in just about every city and place in the United States. Dont worry about it. There probably wont be any info since it is safe to drink. Water in the US is checked frequently to make sure it is below the allowed limits of certain elements and particles. The United States has some of if not the safest drinking water in the world.
Miami actually is probably one of the cleanest and least polluted major cities in the world.
I know its a forbes study but it was done by a university

Cancer clusters pop up in other places, too. Don't think Miami Beach is worse than anywhere else.

Actually I was impressed with the water in Miami and Ft Lauderdale. You should try the tap water in San Diego. It's horrendous! I see a lot of sinks with colorful "formations". They start to resemble a steam fumarole in Yellowstone National Park.

The sheer levels of mineral content and chlorine in the water hear just demolishes the plumbing and fixtures out here. I did not see much evidence of that in Miami and Ft Lauderdale and I was definitely paying attention to these details.

I have to admit, I'm a bit baffled. You would think with the aquifer being set into limestone, that the problem would be immensely noticeable, but it wasn't.

If someone wants to taste bad water just drive up to central Florida, you can taste and smell the sulfur in the water.

^^^You don't have to go that far north. I have smelt sulfur in home in West Boca and in Hobe Sound. Miami however usually ranks pretty high I thought on good clean tap water!
