We are considering renting an apartment at Cordoba. Anyone familiar with this apartment complex?

I've been there twice during the day and it seems ok, but it does get mixed reviews yahoo local and apartmentreviews [dot] net.

I'm not concerned about the staff being rude or residents not being friendly (both mentioned in several reviews). I am more concerned about quality of life issues - fire alarms going off on a regular basis, cars stolen from what is suppose to be a secured parking garage, kids running up and down the hallways, getting slammed with all sorts of "damage" charges when moving out.

We have two small dogs, so I like the small fenced yard. I love the apartment layout and the abundant natural light, but I am trying to decide between Cordoba and Signature at Doral (brand new, so I doubt anyone has feedback out the complex).

Thanks!

"Resident At Cordoba Phase two" This place is the worst places to live in Doral at first everyone seems very nice even the Security Guard and then when you move in the nightmare starts. Everything the management tells you to make you sign the contract are lies we were baited and hooked in to this property because the management told us we can use the BBQ area pool business center and there was even a game room for the kids to use at ones free will. We even had accesses to the communities lunge area but everything turned out to be lies. The BBQ has been broken for over three months due to very one uses them on the weekends and there are only three BBQ located at Phase two the residents at Phase one do not have this amenity so what happens is that every person from from phase one comes over on the weekend and uses the bbq in the pool area. Being that the BBQ are electric they over heat and burn out also good luck trying to use it. Especially on a National Holliday also the pool looks like a South beach night club on the weekend like I mentioned previously the residents at phase one do not have a pool such as phase two so on the weekends the hot spot to hang out with your friends is called Cordoba Phase two pool there is a Party every weekend so hope you like the club scene as much as cretin people due. Security Service provided by Espionage Agents) has got to be the most unprofessional security company I have ever seen. The employees are rude and don't have customer service attention to residents. They don' even have the common curtsey to say good evening hello or have a good night. They look like prison guards with their grey shirts and BDU pants lets not mention the fact that they are not bilingual and the majority of the residence in this community are Hispanics so little does that tell you that they can not communicate with none English speaking residents. Security kicks you out of the pool bye 8:00 Pm and treats you like you were a criminal telling you that if you don't leave the pool he will call the police on you wow in your residence it seems to me like If I were living in liberty City not Doral. Management is very rude and unprofessional Rent is extremely high for what it is toilet bowl dose not flush correctly so the **** sticks shower leak water and kitchen is supper small also the washer and dryer are very tight you cant even wash your converters.

Doral is not A++++. It is high congested, busy day and night with cars and huge commercial trucks and tractor
trailers. Try eating lunch somewhere and not waiting in a huge line and dealing with packed roads and parking lots.

As if it isn't bad enough that you are living next to every Jose, Sergio and Maria this side of Cartegena you also have huge planes buzzing over your head every 3 minutes because you are directly in the middle of the flight pattern of one of the busiest airports in the world which continues to bring in all of Jose's, Sergio's and Maria's parents, cousins and extended family to shop at the Dolphin Mall and clog up the remaing ESOL classes in Doral's "A+" schools.

Run, Amberita, run.

Pepemariel is absolutely right about everything. I lived in Cordoba II for 1.5 years and is a nightmare, plain and simple. Very rude management , noisy, the place looks nice and new but it will be your worst decision. Have you seen the The money Pit (1986)? Thats the feeling you keep after you signed the contract. Get out while you can.

Any suggestions for good apartment complex (including the management)?

I'll be moving to Doral for work and I'm looking for an apartment now. 1b is enough for me (though 2b is better ). Bad management though at a great location will ruin everything. So any idea about a specific apartment that is good and maybe within 20 minutes drive to work?

Wow what an ahole. I'm going to assume you are white and if maybe your people would have stepped up you could have had doral but you didn't, I'll continue to assume that you don't have the money to live with your people In perhaps miami shores ? Aventura? Part of the grove? Also you have your country wrong it's not Colombians mainly in doral.

FYI , born and raised in miami and thank god these folks came with there dolphin mall spending money to continue to build this city.

Doral is Venezuelan territory! not familiar with the apartments though. Doral is going to have a nice downtown area in the future. I see signs all over I-95 "turn around to your new downtown (Doral)"
