Miami really is a car town, especially from Mid-May through October. It's just way to hot, humid, rainy to be waiting for public transit or walking around outside. The only places that are doable without a car, would be South Beach, downtown and Brickell. And still your going to want a car for connivence.

Thanks guys, agreed doggiebus those will be the spots looked at first just wondering how plausible going farhter north would be considering yes my job will most likely be in sobe or downtown considering I stay in the service industry. We have 1 car between my fiancee and I and she will be getting a phd at U of M, so have to consider what would be too far north for her to drive to CG regularly.

Sugah I agree with you but I have some time and contacts to reach out to, savings, loans and she will have some money coming in from a teaching position as well. Just read Chicago's unemployment is higher than Miami's and I was surprised, but this country was founded on and still moves because of risk takers. Between her opportunity and my desire for this change, gotta do it!
