Miami is, predominantly, a latino colony, situated in the United States, with a large sprinkling of poor, desperate blacks, and occassional clusters of whites, most of whom live behind gates, walls, and security cameras.

Miami Beach is the same, with a central core of angry Cubans, a large number of homosexuals, some digusted whites, a bunch of intimidated Jews... all encircled by the luxurious, celestial, high rise abodes of the ultra-rich.

Curiously, in Dexter, Miami looks pretty diverse, but Wikipedia/census seem to say it's overwhelmingly Latino.

It's a TV show! It isn't even flimed in Miami! And compared to 99% of the cities in North America Miami is extremely diverse. If you think Argenitnans and Columbians and Cubans are the same people you also think Thai, Japaneese and Chinese people are the same? Oh and Canadians, Austrlians and Americans are the same?

And who are those ultra-rich? Aliens from outer space determined to keep all the above-mentioned social groups under their heel?

Define "people". In any case, they share some obvious similarities -- they all speak Spanish and tend to be Catholic.

By the way, I believe it's "Colombians".
