I'm moving to Miami. I've been using craigalist to find apartments for rent. I see a lot that seem decent around 75th and Collins. How is that area?

I'm currently launching a business. So my criteria for where I live is.

Close to some sort of gym, Starbucks or nice coffee shop close, close walk to beach, nicer area, no lower class neighborhoods. Relatively easy/affordable commute to popular night clubs

I don't need a lot of space either. My apartment will essentially be an office that I can sleep and eat in.

Nothing at the price could be safe or real unless its a room in someone's house

You may be able to luck out and find something around 700 in North Beach (around 75th and collins)..but it would be a really small studio. North Beach is kinda the working class section of the beach..so there is no Starbucks around. A large Argentinian population there. However, it is generally safe..just dont expect high living over there.

Yep, no high living on North Beach.

6423 Collins Avenue #PH1804, Miami Beach FL - Trulia

6899 COLLINS AVE #2608, MIAMI BEACH, FL Property Listing - For Sale - MLS# A1805098 - ZipRealty

7833 ATLANTIC WAY, MIAMI BEACH, FL Property Listing - For Sale - MLS# A1742518 - ZipRealty

Now, those examples above were all in the $3-$4 million range. If you want to go low rent and don't want to spend a cool mil or more, then you'll have to settle for a low-class building such as Akoya.

Yep, North beach is kinda working class. No high living here.

The area where OP mentioned is working class. I've lived there before. Are there multi-milliondollar condo units around? Yes...but most people in North Beach are just trying to get by and could never dream of owning a condo of that type. In fact, there are quite a few homeless people there scattered around and alot of transients. Fact. OP wont be having any high living renting around that area of the beach for that price.

You will need a time machine to go back to the 70's for cheap living on Miami Beach.

As I've said before I'm fine with a small studio. I did more searching and used gmaps street view. I think 26th st and under would be more my style. It also seems like $1k -1.2k is the sweet spot for finding a nice studio.
