I am starting a job in Brickell and live in Miami Beach. Don't want to buy a car at this point. Job starts at 7am so I see I have two options. I would need to take the 119 to Government Center then taking the Metromover to financial district. Or the L bus to Hialeah Station/ Metro Rail/ Metromover. Trip needs to start around 5:15am to make certain I get there on time. Anyone use public transport at that hour? I am very comfortable with public transport during the day.
Thank you in advance for any information.

North Shore. No car, don't want one. Public transport is not quick.

Why wouldn't it be safe? Also if you will be working in Brickell why on Earth would you take a bus all the way to Hialeah for? Take the bus to the Government Center and descend a flight of stairs to the Metromover station just a level below to get to Brickell.

It might be faster to take the L bus to the Northside station, but the 119 might be more reliable.

I'm guessing thugs don't frequent the Metro Rail at 5:30 since theyre not waking up at 5 to go to any job...not that the metrorail is ever unsafe

I've taken the metrorail at that time don't worry about it. Worst you could see is some homeless black guy jumping in front of the tracks or a girl flashing while filming for bangbros (though not in the morning).

Default Metro safety

Thank you for your responses. I am sort of counting on the theory proposed by TooLoud that criminals don't get up that early.

The L bus to Hialeah does seem as though it takes me out of the way, but it was the first suggestion from google. 119 to Govt Center is definitely faster.

Thanks again.

119 to Govt Center EASY Choice. Ive never had a problem on the people mover even though I have never taken it that early in the morning but by the time you get there it wont be that early anyway. Remember the Metromover is free, Metrorail is not.

In a world class city, It *should* take no longer than 30 minutes to get from somewhere like North Beach to Brickell...that's why we need Baylink!!!!!!
