Big Godfather fan here...I've been to all the major scene locations in and around New York, and a few in Miami. I've been trying to find Hyman Roths house and I have to say I'm stumped. Does anyone know what street it is (or was) on? It looks like it could be in Miami Beach on either side of the Arthur Godfrey Road, or Belle Meade section??? I could use some help with this one. Attached is a pic from the movie. Thanks in advance.

Found this interesting link to some news from last summer about the former home of Meyer Lansky, whom the Hyman Roth character was based on. It sold for a fairly hefty price:

Random Pixels Blog: Someone just bought Meyer Lansky's former Hallandale Beach home for $1.2 million

The home is located in a waterfront neighborhood and looks larger and more lavish than Roth's house in the movie. I'm guessing it's been updated and expanded since Lansky lived there in the '60s.

Thanks for the replies. I was hoping maybe someone lived in the area, or remembers the scene being filmed. Heck it was only 40 years ago, lol. I was a teenager at the time. I'm still looking around and would appreciate any assistance.

I found the house finally. Its in North Miami next to the Keystone Islands section on Hibiscus Drive. Just a simple two bedroom on a quiet street.

Lots of reasons, but everything about N. Miami seemed to make sense. The type of street lights, overhead utility poles, sidewalks in residential neighborhoods all gave it the look of N. Miami. Keystone Islands section seemed to have the style of homes that were similar to the movie. From there I used Google Maps to look at the streets until I stumbled on it.

That's some great investigative work! I too always wondered where that house was (my guess was north Miami-Dade or possibly an older section of Hollywood). Were you able to find a street view of the house, and if so, has it changed much over the years?

Interesting that it's on Hibiscus Drive in North Miami; Meyer Lansky's old house was on a street with the same name in Hallandale Beach.

Default hyman roth's house in godfather2

In the movie they ARE driving OUT OF Miami Beach on Arthur Godfrey Road.
In my heart of hearts i think the house was located on Palm Island one of three islands off AG RD Palm Habiscus and Star the latter two home to Madonna and Shaq-the former was where my aunt and uncle lived from late '30's/early '40's at 271 South Coconut Lane and one their neighbors was Al Capone who wintered there
My uncle was 'Yanke" JP Burdick who owned the News Depot next or near the Miami Bank Building and was supposedly the largest news dealer in South Florida- any of you old enough to know about my uncle? And what do you think of where I think Hyman's house was??
hope to hear from one of you or others
