Uhm no . I live in Seattle , coming from Texas years ago and I haven't used an A/C in at least 5 years . It's a relief.

Wow rude and uneducated much .... makes me think I am back in east Texas

However : As far as dates are concerned , while I don't need a Cartier diamond watch on the second date , I am from the south and if I have to pay my half of a date I was asked out on there wouldn't BE a second date and I am married to a Dutchman and I warned him about this before we even got started .

I said most of the U.S. Seattle is a rare spot where you don't need the A/C most summers. Again, notice I said most. I lived in the PNW for a couple of years. My first summer there it was regularly in the 100's and I was very happy to have A/C. So was my sil who was 8 and 9 months pregnant that year and she didn't have A/C. The point is that summers are supposed to be hot. If they're not, it's not the norm.
