Is this superfluous or cost beneficial ?
No, we need transit alternatives, not more freaking highways. These highways get built, it works for awhile and then as population increases the highways become full again. Why not spend the money and energy and coming up with a viable mass transit system. Get more people out of the cars.

Originally they were going to build the 874 all along the railroad to quail roost drive. It would have connected with 137 ave as well.

As well as an extension of 836 turning south west.
Wow! That sounds pretty selfish just so people can get to where they are going faster. If you don't like traffic one shouldn't have moved to a far out western suburb!
We need more Metrorail expansion except nobody wants to raise another half penny sales tax to pay for it.

So it's not selfish for you to want more rail? Rail will never get to all the people, highways will. Suburbs exist get over it.

No it isn't selfish. It's called giving commuters a choice instead of regulating them to either a car or a bus both which sit in the same traffic (except for the South dade busway). My point is that you want to demolish people's houses. Are you aware that they did this to Overtown when I-95 was first being built? They practically destroyed what was once a thriving neighborhood for an expressway. To me that is "selfish"! A Metrorail guideway is about as wide as a single expressway lane.

^ Well truth be told most of Liberty City lies to the west of NW 7th. Avenue.

Yes, but I once read that it isolated the area as well as the 112.
