How about the Polar Palace? It was an ice skating rink new the airport. I think it closed down around 1984 or so.

[edit] I just Googled "Polar Palace Miami" and saw that somebody already mentioned it on page 4 of this tread. Google is amazing.

Here's a long list from another forum. It brought back a lot of memories of things I'd forgotten.

Default Wolfie's / Westward Ho Restaurants?

Saw this forum...I am actually looking for someone that worked at both
these places...She went by the name Marbie? She was probably pregnant at the time? I have lost track of her and was wondering if anyone could possibly have any recollections during 1972 -1973? Thanks.

Hey Dave H.
I also grew up in Hialeah-Miami Lakes area. Did you go to HML?

Default Miami Dejavu

Wow, all the memories.... here are some more

-Meyer's Pizza Parlor - does anyone remember the peep hole in the wall - can't remember what was in it though...take your mind out of the gutter - it was clean.
-Murphy's Dime Store in Hialeah - they used to open up the front section on kids movie day so we could buy our candy there before the movie.
-Sportatorium - awesome concerts - seating the way it should be - not stuffy like today's venues
-Andytown - motocross racing every Sunday
-Dadeland Mall - saw Tiny Tim there (for those of you old enough to remember who he is)
-Crandon Park Zoo - lots of little kiddie memories there
-Big Daddy lounges (I think they are called Flannigans now)
-Playboy club
-Chicken Unlimited - best fried chicken
-163rd street shopping center (before the mall) had a little kids train ride
-49th street slide- forgot all about that!
-Haulover Beach - lots of good times there!
-Farrells Ice Cream parlor - Westland Mall - anyone remember that place???

Wow, what a trip down memory lane

I remember Circus Playhouse. It was located on 441 near Hollywood Boulevard and it had a big indoor merry go round and an arcade. That was a big place for children's birthday parties.
