Anybody know what Miami Beach is planning to do with this park? I know there were plans by a non profit to turn it into a sculpture park, but that does not seem to be happening any time soon.

The Master Plan for the park was apparently adopted and approved by the Mayor and the City Commission on July 23, 2014.

Thank you!

Forgive my ignorance, but does that mean that it is now set to be built at some point in the future? Or is there many more steps before that actually happens?

TBH, I didn't read through the entire new agreed-upon master plan, I was just providing the link to you since you asked about it. I just scrolled through all the information and took a cursory look at all the slides. AFAIK, that whole grand sculpture park idea failed years ago when the private organization was unable to obtain the private funding for it. Since then, the neighborhood and the city have been trying to come up with a new plan for the area. That's what the new master plan is supposed to address.
