Hey guys, I'm trying to get rid of a couch next week as I have a new one coming.

Are there any companies that will come and pick up old furniture, that I do not deem fit to sale to anyone?

Thanks,

I don't know about here, but in California, I used to donate large items like furniture to The Salvation Army or Purple Heart and they would come and pick it up in their own truck.

You can donate it but if it is unusable than you can call 311 and schedule a bulk trash pick-up. It is a service provided by the county.

Thanks,
Have you asked the people/furniture store delivering the new couch, if they can take the old one?

Also, don't know if it's done in Miami nowadays,...as someone already posted....but it used to be a common practice in the past that if you call the Salvation Army, they would pick up your old furniture.

Give them a call (Salvation Army, Goodwill, store)....wouldn't hurt to ask.

If a company won't pick it up you can put a curbside alert under the free section of craigslist and it should be gone within a couple of hours.
