I notice red lights cameras no longer at intersections where they used to be or still in place(northbound 107ave & S.W. 8street ) but pehaps not operable. I see no flash when a very obvious transgressors is within their view. 87aven and 36 street light N and W bound being the reference.

If I recall Florida had to stop red light cameras since they were caught illegally giving people tickets by fixing the timing.

No, they were eventually legalized, just that you get a City code violation instead of a proper ticket (so no license points or insurance rate increases). But some Cities stopped using them at least for right turns on red because of the expense of dealing with the appeals process. There's currently a bill going through the legislature that would ban them statewide, but I haven't heard how far it progressed.
