Sometimes I get home in a bad mood and after analyzing what's the cause, I notice is the commuting experience and always having idiots who cut me aggressively, drive through the apex and cut me, tailgate me to force me go faster than the speed limit, etc.

I love my job, my family, my life in Miami. The only thing thing I dislike is the fact that we must commute by car and we must deal with the expressway madness.

Months ago an immature girl went through the red light and collided with my vehicle. The little 18 year old fake-blond turd, filled with tattoos all around her body lied to the police officer and since there were no street cameras that recorded the incident, the officer did not give her a ticket and I had to pay my car repair.

Most of the people drive over the speed limit, and civilized people that obey the laws are tailgated and forced to speed up.

I was thinking we should start a picture thread of the chaotic driving scene. Please post pictures (Evidence) and videos if you have any. Let's see who can take a picture or record a clip of rude Miami drivers in action.
I just saw this video recorded in Miami... instant justice.

The dash cam idea is a good one. We should all do it and youtube the worst drivers for all to see. On Krome Avenue some loser was going 30 miles an hour, erratic on the edge of the road and thanks to DOT it is now a "no passing road". Of course I drove over the stupid plastic things to pass the turtle. Guess what, she was playing with her cell phone! The roads are often purposely designed to frustrate drivers and cause accidents. On Westbound Kendall drive I saw a car flipped over on the side of the road along the curve. Probably lost control. Many times I have to ignore traffic laws to avoid being hit, like going through a red light to avoid being rear ended. or speeding to pass a driver who seems to be under the influence of something.

People have to remember the left lane is the PASSING lane not the FAST lane!!! As in, you don't get to go as fast as you would like at all times regardless of the traffic conditions. Passing lane speed depends on the reality of the traffic conditions. Don't get me wrong, slow pokes staying in the left lane are a MAJOR hazard and an accident magnet, but also consider that not every one who passes does so at 100 mph--and neither should they. If someone is passing slower traffic and they're already doing 75 mph in a 60 mph zone, you don't get right up behind their rear end or even worse try to squeeze between cars and overtake on the right to maintain your excessive speed.

If someone is speeding in the left lane, he will eventually be pulled over. But the left lane is the passing lane, and if someone is going very fast, by default he is passing everyone to the right of him.

Also, you should never be the 'judge' if someone is going fast enough. If I'm going 85mph in the left lane and someone is approaching me at a high rate of speed, I pull to the right to let him go. I don't go "well, he's well above the speed limit and has no right to pass me." You never know if he has an emergency or pressing situation requiring him to go 100mph, and even if he doesn't, forcing him to zoom around you is how accidents happen and traffic bottlenecks as well.

I would eventually let him pass, but when I'm done passing those that go even slower.

If some idiot is driving faster than the speed of light behind you, you might not have a chance to pull to the right because there could be cars in the right lane, you will get a moving ticket if you hit another car for improper lane change. It is the speeding idiot's RESPONSIBILITY to slow down because he has full control of the situation.

Anyway, The typical impatient reckless driver drives in several lanes, he doesn't stay in the left lane for long. The stupid azz who hit me last year at night came from nowhere at an extremely high speed and I only saw his car to my right one second before he hit me. He ran out of space because he was not keeping up with the speed of traffic so his choices were hitting me by moving to my lane or hitting the car in front of him. It's possible he came from another lane further to the right. I have no idea where he came from. His speed was so excessive none of us had time to get out of way so he totaled my car and his insurance paid for everything and he got a ticket I made sure wasn't removed by going to court in Broward. Yes, that was a long drive for me but what that idiot did I call attempted murder. Not much different than shooting a gun to a crowd and claiming innocence because you did not intend to kill anyone.

That's it! Yet, You'll be amazed on how the human mind changes, instantly when driving a car, on an expressway: "Look at that maniac behind! I am not going to let the bastard pass!"

The instances on a real emergency, say, for example, someone shot your car on the expressway and your friend is bleeding profusely, are rare. Compared to it is your third appearance in Court and, again you're going to be late, or no one kept track of the time and your relative has got to be at the airport, etc.

Well, try "my wife is going into labor" etc. They need not be as dramatic and rare as "my friend was shot today in my car."

But regardless, I guess the point of my comment was to never judge. There are so many passive aggressive people on the roads today that think it's their role to enforce traffic rules. And this kind of person is often 50% to blame for traffic bottle necks and accidents.

If you're in the passing lane, move over. Doesn't matter if they're going 60mph or 120mph. It's not your job to care, just for you to drive from point A to point B as safely and as quickly as possible.

Dude, if the pregnancy has been, previously categorized as risky, she should have been in a clinic ahead of time.
A thing they have embedded in our minds, delivering a baby IS NOT A LIFE THREATENING EXPERIENCE REQUIRING THE EXTREME EMERGENCY UNITS.

I do agree, if someone crazy behind you, in his (her) mind must go 100mph, get out of the way, let them.

I just saw this post now. Somehow missed it.

Ofc, don't change lanes unless it's safe to do so. No one advocated you change lanes at all costs. If it's clear to change lanes, do so though. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone in the passing lane not changing lanes - even though it's clear for him to do so - causing the impatient person behind him to tailgate and cause an unnecessary situation. I'm sure the person not changing lanes is maybe thinking "I'm going the speed limit anyway" [or even more troublesome, doesn't know that the left lane is the passing lane] but he along with the impatient driver are causing a dangerous situation, not only for themselves but for other motorists.

What I bolded is very troubling but also very typical of American drivers - you guys never look in your mirrors unless you're changing lanes. In Europe, we can't pass a test if we don't keep darting our eyes from side mirrors to rearview mirror - even if we're going straight on a clean road, they will flunk us if our eyes are not constantly cycling through our mirrors. It's now a habit for me, at any given time you can ask me what are the cars around me and behind me and I will be able to tell you without looking, because chances are I looked 1 second before you asked. It's never happened to me that some car "came from nowhere" in my whole life of driving. And I've driven for over a decade in many countries including -

Mexico
Canada
USA (duh)
Russia
Spain
Greece
All Balkan states
Switzerland
France
Turkey

I also never been in a accident. I can't tell you how many times I avoided accidents simply because I was aware of my surroundings however.
