I agree that it's just the place you're at. There are many peaceful, quiet places in Miami, even in the middle of the urban core.

I totally understand but you can't have it all - There is no perfect local. Either move up to the conservative close minded areas and have peace and quiet or stay in crazy Miami and deal with late night parties, transients and people who general have less respect for others. Miami is the fraud/scam/hit & run capital of the United States. If you want to be in a progressive busy city with better people who have manners then move to San Francisco.

Highly doubtful unless you can afford to live in Continuum in South Beach. The only area I would ever consider living in a Condo in the Miami area would be in Aventura.

The high rises on the east Country Club Drive seem pretty quiet and have killer views of the Ocean, Intracoastal, and/or the golf course. Closer to US1, the condos along Williams Island Blvd./NE 183 st are nice and it is possible to walk to some things (Del Prado, Admirals Port, Biscayne Cove, but probably stay from Venture). In Fort Lauderdale, I've heard good things about the neighbourhood along Las Olas just across the bridge from the Beach, which is far enough from the entertainment strip of Las Olas but still possible to walk to the bars and restaurants. Across the river from the museum and performing arts center there are also a few new high rises which may also be suitable.

Well, you're wrong.

Go for a walk at night along Brickell Bay Drive. You hear crickets and frogs chirping away. Extremely quiet. The same goes for Brickell Key.

Welcome to apt/condo living! Rent a single family home if you want peace and quiet. Even then you're not guaranteed. Contact the HOA board with certified letters detailing the issues. GL

I have an idea ... Instead of fighting it why not give in and join them? Play your music loud, get wasted every night, smoke weed, cook beans on the terraza and paint your balcony walls purple.
