I agree-I wouldn't do it myself either. You have crazy drunk people running into the water at all hours of the night and you never know what could happen.

If you go down to the Keys, there are a couple of State Parks that have campgrounds right on the beach, Long Key and Bahia Honda for sure, where you'd be able to pretty much sleep on the beach. This time of the year, they are usually booked, but it can't hurt to check.

wow. this a serious question? miami beach is expensive as hell and you want to travel and sleep on the beach? stay home honestly. sounds like you cant afford to visit

Just make sure to park yourself near a structure on the beach that can't be run over, like a tree, or one of those wooden crates/storage containers.

I say this because I heard of cases of sleeping tourists being run over at night by people taking their atvs and joy riding.
