Los Angeles has Compton and Watts
NYC has South Bronx and Harlem
Chicago has Southside

So why Miami can't have bad areas?

This 52 yo, 5 foot tall, 100 pound girl has never had a problem in "tough" Miami. Stay away from $h!t and you won't be sh!tted on. Applies in any city you may find yourself. It's common sense, but I guess some people lack common sense, so sensationalist shows get viewers.

They are not all actors, at least not in this case. A quick Google search would prove you that.

Maybe Miami's bad parts are more visible and covers a larger area than the others? Or that Miami doesn't have a real economy other than construction, tourism, and drugs?

People associate palm trees and nice beaches with leisure and wealth. Everybody already knows Philadelphia has slums but somehow Miami gets held to a double standard: wait a second, not everybody is a supermodel and prancing around on South Beach.
