Currently on vacation in Miami Beach and wanted to pass along a couple of pizza places I tried that were really good. If you have favorites kindly pass them along.

In South Beach, Mom's pizza (1059 Collins, suite 106) is outstanding especially if you grew up in NJ/NY and like NY style pizza. The owner is from Brooklyn and his pies are absolutely the real deal. Blows out Pizza Bar, IMO. One note, however, there's no place to sit down and eat other than a couple of stools at the window, so best to take out.

When staying in North Beach I think Venezia's pizza (66th & Collins) does a good job. They use Grande cheese which is the best. Plenty of seating inside but it tends to be hot in there.

I live about a block from there and other than Domino's (and now Little Caesar's), I think that's got to be some of the worst pizza in all of NoBe. But then again, I've never been a fan of greasy so-called "NY Style" pizza.

For good pizza, walk across the street to Porcini's or head over to George's on 72nd St.

That would be Aventura, not North Miami. But in any case, the title and subject of this particular thread is pizza recommendations in Miami Beach.
