YEEEEESSS! oops I'm sorry.. Ok,. More than 4,000 Cubans have attempted to migrate since October. I think it's time to end Wet Foot Dry Foot bs law. Let them apply legally like everyone else.
We are being invaded from all sides. At this point, I'd rather the Cuban immigrants (yes, immigrants) stand in like behind the Haitians, many of whom are in a far worse situation than the average Cuban.
But anyway, the most important thing is the law will be irrevocable, and will be ending that annoying political razzmatazz perpetuated by the junta.

Better to just start developing genetically engineered viruses to stop the reproduction. Then again when the US collapses people will be leaving not coming in.

Best way to fix illegal immigration is to fix legal immigration. When even the "prioritized" family-based immigration papers take several years meanwhile "dry foot" cases are legal immediately, we have a broken system which only encourages people to do it the illegal way.

I know is semantics, but wet foot, dry foot is a policy, not a law. Now I don;t know if it takes an act of Congress, or a directive from the Executive to tell Homeland Security: do not follow that policy anymore. Seems difficult to be neutral and impartial on viewing this policy, but it is grossly biased when people from any other Communist or Socialist regime, who would prefer to migrate to US, are under very stringent and, for many, impossible series of proceedings.
I'm no political analyst but will bet that Raul Castro, just because the establishment of Diplomatic Relations, is about to open his borders for free emigration, Cuba would be desserted.

The OP is incorrect. The Wet Foot Dry Foot policy is not officially coming to an end. The OP needs to get his facts straight.

If Florida wasn't such a huge and important swing state, "wet/dry foot" would have been gone a long time ago.

I am a 26 years old cuban who has been living in Miami FL for 10 months.
There is no longer intelligent politicians in the states as there used to be... really ??? A law that allows cubans to easily settle in this country ????? haha. I do not know what the intention was behind this but if america ever wanted to bring down the goverment in Cuba they should not have allowed this.... reason why ???? ok. look at me, WHAT DID I DO ?? I left the country because I knew america would open the doors for me, and that is exactly what millions of cubans have done through years, then a question arises .... WHO SOLVES THE PROBLEM IN THE ISLAND ???? NOBODY !!! people just rather to leave the country vs fighting the system, it is the simpler way to escape. It is not like in South America or any other country where people go on strike when the goverment dictate a non-fair law... in this case it is easier for the cubans to escape and leave the problem behind. GUILTY??? AMERICA !!! if they would have ignored Cuba and its situation that goverment would have fallen by its own weight...do not get me wrong people, I LOVE AMERICA ! but it was a huge mistake giving us the opportunity to come over...
