We are moving to Florida soon and need some furnished housing for a few months until our furniture arrives. What safe, clean, well-run corporate housing around/in Miami (preferably not too far from the beach) would you recommend? Many thanks!

Where are you going to be working? There's plenty of short term rentals available at the Beach, but if you're going to be living in Brickell, my advice would be to live in Brickell. If you haven't heard, traffic is awful here, and you're better off not fighting it during the week, and spending an extra few minutes getting to the beach when you have free time.

One option there would be Oakwood. Miami Oakwood | Oakwood

Hi everyone,

Due to some "cookie" problems, I cannot log in under Gr8sun - which means I won’t be able to log in again under my new name, Gr8sun1, nor can I respond to the kind private messages. Hence, I just wanted to thank you for your time and help! :-)

And to answer/ask some questions:

-Our budget is up to $3000/month but I’m hoping for a 2 bedroom apt for that price.
-The dream is to live on a beach…. But with that budget that is not going to happen. However, I would like to be able to take the bicycle, or walk, to the beach as we will only have 1 car.
-I found the 'crime-o-meter' helpful - in fact, we almost got a place in a red zone before I looked at the crime map(!)
-My husband will be working close to Wynwood
-We are in our 40/50s with no kids (in case the recommended area/s changes having that info)

Q: I will be looking for a job (coordinator type roles), how “easy” might that be in this area?

Q: How are the areas south of Miami (as well as commuting)?

We are moving back from England, having been away for over 10 years (though we never lived in FL before).

Though I can't respond to any messages, please continue to send me messages and post on this forum.

Thanks again!

I've heard good things about Opera Tower. Walking distance to Wynwood and midtown, though it would be a hike. At least you wouldn't have to deal with the Brickell Ave. Bridge or I-95 to drive it. You may also find things in the downtown area on AirBnB or via a realtor (landlord pays the commission).

On the ocean front, $3k/month may be possible long term, unfurnished, but would be a stretch as corporate housing.
