I went to college in Miami and visit often. This trip I wanted to focus more on natural places ( parks and things like that ) that are special and unique to Miami or Ft. Ldl .... any suggestions ?

The beaches duh. Any zip lining ???

Go for a walk in the everglades.

Swamp walks

Ranger-Led Activities - Big Cypress National Preserve (U.S. National Park Service)

How much you'll see can be questionable, but your nature cred goes up immensely if you say you went wading through the everglades. And yes, I've done it.
