Maybe their ultimate plan is to extend East Hialeah east so they can have access to those Metrorail stations people barely use. They can rename the MLK station and call it the "Jose Martí" or "Cuba Libre" station.

Obviously, plans and proposals like this will have opposition.
In my opinion, the Liberty City thing, and areas around have gone for so long that there is no "gentle" way to clean and resolve.
The noble idea of providing "affordable" housing leads to the living example of Liberty City and surroundings.
Sad and rough for those who simply grew old accustomed to paying very little or nothing for housing and commodities, while the easy living provides fertilizer for gang activity, possibly drug trafficking, human trafficking...

Here's the definition. Study it. I've seen some of your other posts where you incorrectly describe for profit development as gentrification. You'll need the definition in case you ever take that GED test you've been considering lol. Gentrification: the buying and renovation of houses and stores in deteriorated urban neighborhoods by upper- or middle-income families or individuals, thus improving property values but often displacing low-income families and small businesses.

Emil? I am quite aware of what "Gentrification" is and of course the city of Miami owns the land at Liberty Square but it isn't the first time Miami has sold land to private developers before and I don't need a GED to know that!

Anybody with a brain can see that the days of Overtown are limited as the MWC project marches westward along with the All Aboard Florida rail station.
