I would like to see the cost per student for the public school system versus the cost per student for the private schools. Public schools should be cheaper as they are exempt from property tax and all county hassles like Team Metro!

Being born and raised down here I'm absolutely amazed at how it has changed. It's just gotten progressive extremely worse with traffic, rude people, spanish speakers, cost of living. I mean its ridiculous!! As far as the politicians and school boards and all that crap running everything, they should just do one massive sweep out the door. If people stop bitching on this forum and actually write letters, make phone calls, post signs, I bet things would get rolling. Stop bitching and do something about it. It's your money after all!!

I have been trying to get people together for protests, with no luck-everyone is just too busy. I have tried to contact the commisioners, they do not care. As for signs, Team Metro removes them almost instantly. Let's do something, but we need to meet up and see our numbers.

Yes all the intelligent people are leaving, before any changes can be made. Tis better to flee and prosper than to get old fighting a losing battle that ends in defeat.

If that's true (and, I don't doubt that it is), it makes me think of a certain Ayn Rand novel.

Though, in this case, the title should be Miami Shrugs.

I'm outta here in a month or two myself. Maybe I should change my screen name to "John Galt".

Well, I bet in Miami if you have a degree or are qualified is really easy to find a good job.
