I just don't see the hassle. MIA is a fine airport, there is never traffic for departures, maybe sometimes for arrivals. Its only a hassle if you are connecting in MIA, but thats not the case for anyone of us. FLL is over crowded, old, and has pretty horrible and small amenities for such a busy airport. But, I agree, I love JetBlue, best domestic airline out there, and when it makes sense I fly them.

It's definitely going in this direction. FLL is getting worse every year.

Some people who are fairly reputable are saying not to do it, but I would argue it would be better to do what you are doing to save 200 dollars. But you would have to consider not renting a car. I always take shuttles. I wonder why more people dont take these things..

If you are going to the Keys and you get a shuttle from Fort Lauderdale to the Keys then you would pay less than renting a car and driving down there especially when renting a car @ 60 dollars a day would add up to more than that after around 5 days.

A private shuttle to the Keys from Fort Lauderdale and then back at a later date would be cheaper. At least this has been my experience.

Because a shuttle cost more than Uber?
