Small world, but I live in a condo on West Ave overlooking Star Island (and Gloria Estefan's house, as mentioned) and it truly does not get better than Star Island. Barring a tropical low of something, your weather will be hit or miss. Rarely are days a total wash out. More like sporadic rain showers/thunderstorms starting in the afternoon, which may or may not make it to the beach, etc.... It could be poring rain in one area and then like 3 miles up the road the sun is shining and ppl are on the beach. Just a mixed bag in the summer.

Small world, but I live in a condo on West Ave overlooking Star Island (and Gloria Estefan's house, as mentioned) and it truly does not get better than Star Island. I am sure you can easily google it, but it's going to be quite different than anything you are likely imagining. I doubt you will want to head to the beach.
