Well this was a surprise! Don't usually see Miami ranked so high in these types of stories.

My guess? New PR firm hired by the city. Slightly less cynically, a burgeoning tech scene, a couple of decent universities, fantastic beaches, and a cost of living on par with Chicago, except without 8 months of unbearable cold. Now, if we could just add some good public transit and expand the number of middle and upper middle class jobs, we really could be the envy of the country.
