How do you know if your a flake!!

1. You tell your buddy - "Hey whenever you need help call me" - then when he does you FLAKE OUT. (AH, I came down with the FLU)

2. You go to a birthday party spend 20minutes then say you have to go to another birthday party so you can leave early.

3. You go shopping for a car and tell the dealer that you have some money coming in soon..(thats why you cant buy today)....Its funny how the broke ones always have money coming in soon.

4. You plan out a event for saturday with friends and 5 minutes before the event your kids have 102 fever.

OK, good luck getting away from that...especially #4...you know 49 out of the 50 states have widespread flu activity right now? All of them except for Florida...which has the second highest level of activity...

CDC - Influenza (Flu) | Weekly Report: U.S. Map, Influenza Summary Update- Week 49, 2007-2008 Season

Your post is pretty vague to me actually. Kind of flaky . You sound like you either A. Don't know the definition of "flake" or B. are trying to blame Miami for typical life problems, when in fact Miami has way more Miami-specific problems than children getting sick or broke people at the car dealer.

Again, that was kind of cryptic.... I think you may have a point, but just try and explain yourself a little bit more and make points that aren't valid anywhere, like about how you can walk into Bloomingdales and the employees wont speak any English. Now I go to Boca for my upscale shopping because they acutally speak English, and they fixed up the Galleria so I can go there now too. That's flaky on the managements part to even put people like that in an upscale department store.

Anyway, if you were referring to number four being an EXCUSE and not something you actually experienced (you didn't indicate whether you were or not), maybe you need to make some better friends and stop bashing the general population and people might like you better .

Maybe my experience was sporadic, but I really did experience "no speaky English" at Bloomingdales...in the AVENTURA mall. I don't go to Pollo Tropical, so not sure about there. C'mon man, I'm giving you a serious, glaring reason to trash Miami and you just rejected it! And it really happened to me! I mean I'm sorry, I just don't see how those four things you listed are Miami-specific...I mean honestly, I do agree Miami is one of the flake capitals. I really do. It's just your examples are weak.

Ive been a manager at dealerships here in miami and usually i wouldnt hire someone that only spoke english or spanish - I would hire mostly Bilingual. Its a doggy dog world you cannot survive with only one lspoken language.
