Effective immediately, Cubans who arrive in the us without visas will not be granted residency. Too bad that this didn't happen sooner, but whatever. Happy days are here again!

It won't alleviate Miami's bad traffic congestion, but still.

I really don't see Trump undoing this measure. Hard to justify outside of South Florida GOP

Uuuu, that old lady Ros- whatever, and Rubio, et al, are not going to be happy.
The lady congresswoman, honestly is representing that foreign Nation more than her constituents in District 27th of Florida, USA.

There are those who have migrated, following the law of the land, thru years of sacrifice and DO APPRECIATE the honor of being an American.
Perhaps not all, but most of the by boat arrivals are here jsut to milk the system, get on the streets to walk in the midde of traffic, get a car and never get a license, abhor the English language and throw trash out the car window.

Maybe there will now be a little more empathy for what other immigrants have to face when they arrive in the US?

#1 : Cubans aren't granted "residency" under wet foot/dry foot policy since they have to apply for "political asylum" first and that takes a year or so to actually gain residency.

#2 : How are Cubans responsible for Miami's bad traffic congestion?

#3 : What do you mean by "Happy days" are here again ?

Wow, all the non-Cuban immigrants celebrating like this is a victory for immigration reform. It's not because this doesn't help those without papers?? Yes, the policy should be ended. Also, yes, a lot of Cubans act entitled because of their privilege, but celebrating and belittling Cubans isn't any way to build unity. Also, if you're all celebrating this, don't cry about Trump's plan to build a wall on Mexico's border. Otherwise you're just a hypocrite.

Nothing will change as relatives will claim their famiies and the flow will continue, it has happened before. Trump scraping the law? Certainly, but die-hard Cuban republicans don't want that law.

The only thing the wet/dry foot did was put peoples lives at risk. It was a stupid policy. We just can't operate a country like that. Discriminatory policy. Some scammed this country claims Iliana Ros Leitenin.(who wanted to end the cuban adjustment act of the 60's)
These new Cubans are coming here for economic reasons anyway. They get in the system then their checks get direct deposited or sent to the address they give. They go back to Cuba and end up making money from US Government while living back in Cuba where they only make $30 a month. Great racket...
The pressure has to build if they ever want to see freedom for their country. Yes, that means fighting for your freedom like we did from the British.
Cubans as a rule don't vote for Democrats so no loss for the Democrats. Good move Obama. This will save the country a lot of money....
