Hello!

We are planning a trip at the end of March. We will be flying into Miami, spending one or two nights there, then renting a car and driving down to Key West.

I do not know anything about Miami, and haven't looked at any websites or forums yet. I've always found this is the best place to get real info. We have two girls aged 15 and 16 but we love travelling and they always enjoy doing local stuff, so we wanted to know what Miami had to offer. Our entire trip is about six days, so we figured we would spend two in Miami. We love walking around, food, theme parks (!!) alligators, the beach. If anyone knows of any interesting places to visit, that would be great.

Thanks so much.

Hello Gindyhead29615 !

Do you know which days you will be spending in Miami proper? I ask because the ULTRA Music Festival will be taking place in downtown Miami in the last weekend of March.

ULTRA is one of the world's largest Electronic Dance Music festivals and is expecting around 165,000 patrons in that weekend alone so plan accordingly.

Thanks Ruski,

The Everglades boat ride is most definitely something we would want to try. I was about to google that for the Key Largo area. Their website looks good and good reviews - it does worry me a bit about going on a small boat looking at alligators!!

The "down to earth" shopping is more our style so we will look at the Aventura Mall too.

How's Zoo Miami?

Good to know Bobdreamz,

It's not really our thing (perhaps 20 years ago) so fortunately it's a week after us. Kids are off school Friday 17th through to Friday 24th so we will be back home by then. Depending on flights, we'll probably be in Miami Sat/Sun, perhaps Monday AM and then getting in the car headed to Key West.

Does anyone have any experience with Dolphin Plus Bayside in Key Largo? My girls would LOVE to swim with dolphins. Any recommendations on other dolphin experiences in the area?
