You've made nine posts in this thread over the last couple of days and really haven't said much more than "they" investing in Miami.

Okay, we get it; you seem to think that this is some sort of newsflash: Foreigners have been and continue to buy properties in Miami. Film at 11.

Thanks for bringing this to our collective attention.

Isn't this kind of the permanent story of Miami? Only the country of origin changes through the years.

Basically, yes. Not sure why it's news that Miami is a highly sought after city for investment and devlopment. Just like any major US city, investors will seek to put their money there, especially if they have their money currently stashed in unstable nations.

When the US becomes unstable they will have to find another place to launder their funny money. Considering the lack of industry and a huge disadvantaged population the future could look like Detroit. It would be interesting to figure out where the next money laundering center will be and grab some land now.

However, a flood of foreign investors from any acountry is not a good thing. It will make our housing market like NYC or San Francisco and push locals further and further out due to lack of affordability.
I posted the link in another thread to an article that shows the Chinese are the largest foreign group of buyers in this country with CA, TX, FL and one other state being where they're buying the most property in such as housing, commercial properties. Explains why renting and leasing has gone up probably all over the country.

I am still impressed just how cheaply made many buildings in Brickell are compared to other cities. Brickell House? Just tear that POS down.
