Which should still be less than 4 hours. I don't think Amtrak owns the trak in that section, it's running on freight rails which are slower.

There are so many stops that its actually MUCH faster to drive your friend/relative to Palm Beach and take the train from there rather than from Miami. Tons of stops from Miami to Palm Beach and then tons of stops from Central Florida to Sanford/Winter Park depending on where you end up. Takes about 7 hours from Miami.

We always just take Red Coach Or Megabus (depending if you want luxury or not). Either $35-$40 each way or $15-$20 each way and you are there in under 4 hours from FTL Airport or the Sheridan St Tri-Rail station on 95. 4 hours total if you leave from MIA.

I use Mega to travel from the MIA Trimodal Center lots of times a year to Orlando and Tampa (From there I proceed across the Bay to Indian Rocks Bch)

Have relatives in both Areas and it's so much better, and cheaper than driving.

Brightline wishes to open more stops in SoFla but it doesn't have the permit. And they probably won't get it because the State doesn't want to see Trirail revenue cannibalized.

Regarding the Cocoa-Orlando tracks, the land-lease agreement states clearly that they are not allowed to open more than 1 stop per county.

Vague plans for Jacksonville, but nothing concrete yet.
Nothing for Tampa.

I would like to see the connection of Sunrail to Orlando airport, so they would share the same station with Brightline.

Yes, only the Trirail tracks are state owned, the rest are freight tracks.
