I don't think people going to stadiums commute back home after the game. Fans usually celebrate, riot, fight opponent fans, mug people, etc... at places not so far away from the stadium.

In Miami, celebrate and fights sure, but riots and mugging people? maybe in South America but not here.

This new stadium will have the Culmer Metrorail station less than 3 blocks away.

As for that incident regarding the Heat's Game 6 how is that indicative of the fan's base loyalty?
This is Miami so when a Heat game is ending fans have other places to go to afterwards (South beach , dinner, clubs, etc.)
Fans in other cities have done the same.
Show me a Yankees/Redsox/eagles/Giants/Cowboys/Knicks/Bulls/etc game where fans are walking out of a GAME 5/6/7 (elimination game) 1 minute before it ends when the team has a chance to win.

Its not indicitave? After Lebron left, attendance plummeted as did ticket prices, back to pre-lebron prices.

You are right, people have 'other things to do' in Miami/Miami Beach - Hence why the soccer will be a bust too!

Soccer is pretty big in Mia, so hopefully it'll go well. Hopefully DB being a huge name himself can attract some good talent and market this all right. Could be great.

Miami is a commuter city, not building parking is stupid and the entire plans should be scrapped.

More people walking on the streets is a good thing. It's good for the area and small retail business owners. That could also stimulate more people to start new businesses (shops, bars, restaurant, etc) in the area.

When that happens, need for better public transit appears and something gets done with it. One thing leads to another.

I disagree. As has already been mentioned, the Orange Bowl didn't have any public parking (except a small lot for some VIPs), and it worked for 70+ years. Not to mention that it held events for 70,000 - 80,000 people. And nowadays there are more and better transportation options than there were back in the day (Metro, trolleys, Uber).

Now that I think about it, the stadium can held more international soccer games regularly. Those will be attractive for people not wanting to be participant of the local scene. This way we won't have to rely on our local fandom to make use of it.

No parking, Miami-ians will hate that.

They expect people to walk and uber like other countries?? Miami-ians leave 1 min left on Game 6 to 'beat the traffic' only to miss the best Heat comeback of all time.

Beautiful stadium (just like Marlins Park) with no attendance.
When they were winning at the end they were trying to come back to the arena, only to be turned away LOL.

This stadium will be a big waste of money, and the team will fold like Miami FC did.

Sports team should just get rid of professional sports in the Miami area, they don't have a strong fan base like the northern states do, (Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, New York, Chicago) etc. Miami is a party city mixed up with a working class.

Yet Miami / SE Florida still manages to have all the major league sport franchises and still make enough money to continue operating.
