Surprised that I did not find a single post for the Local IKEA Store here, before opening this topic.

It came to mind thinking about how far, inconvenient and small compared to this one is the IKEA in Sunrise, where we went before Miami opened a few years back.

Went there today (12 mls from home in The Hammocks) in just 20 minutes door to door and back too.

Wife will spend hrs in the place, I get bored fast, thus I research and I go with a LIST, and I am in and out with no problems with zero wasted time and not buying a single gizmo not on the list.

Great Stores, the one by Millenia in S Orlando is always packed, this one here is a lot more relaxed than the ones at Sunrise, Orlando and Tampa (In Ybor City).

Abroad I have been to the one in Madrid, and that one was crazy buzy, that's about it !!!

Have some tales to tell ???

Stop by !!!

Do a search, you'll see it was discussed when it opened. Just another store to me. No tales to tell.

I searched by name and it went 14-15 pages TOPS, and not one IKEA post (Many of them by the way) was linked to Miami.

I tried.

It's not just spanish and english spoken in there, today I heard french, italian and portuguese conversations up and down the aisles and a couple more that sounded totally off to me, sort of jewish/arabic..

World Wide Stores with something for everyone, and glad we have one here in Miami, right on our backyard.

You need to search by thread, not by post. These three threads came up immediately.

The Miami one is definitely bigger than the Sunrise or Orlando ones.I wouldnt call the Sunrise one inconvenient, its like a 4 minute drive from Sawgrass mills, obviously it would have been better right next to it but I wouldnt call it inconvenient, millions go to Sawgrass and its fairly close. All these stores get packed at different times, the Miami one is no different,if you saw it calm its just timing.I was at the opening of the Miami one and got 52 weekly coupons for free meatball dinners and got to fill up a huge bag with whatever would fit from their market area, that was cool but I quickly grew tired of meatballs and was giving those coupons away 2 months into the yearlong coupons,I still wont eat them if I go to the store.
