MrKnight, for the LAST time.....Nope, done that a million times on week ends, during the day, when schools are in, Summer, Winter, Nights, In Downpours , with green eggs and ham.....etc. etc and stopping for wife, never over 4:15 hrs and NO/ZERO Tolls, except two of them on the 417 once in the vecinity of the Aloma Exit..

Again, I have this mastered for OVER 20 years. Remember that the City of Okeechobee, the worst obstacle between A and B, I skip it alltogether as I by-pass it by at least 10 mls each way !!!

And BTW as the World waits for the Full Run on the Faster Train between Miami and MCO, I close my posting here, whomever wants further info on the exact roads and turns I make, ask me via internal messaging.

They were serious about seeking opportunities outside FL. Brightline has purchased the company that was developing HSR between LA and Vegas. They have 38 acres on the strip. Targeting 2022 for operations.

Amazing it took someone so long, considering how popular this route is.

I am a frequent Amtrak user. I love it. The cars are never full, so more often than not, I am seated alone (2 seats to myself) and each seat has PLENTY of room. Plus, it's comfortable, you get to walk around, there is a dining car, etc.

Experimenting as I love to do, I even took an Amtrak from Winter Park to Tampa once., and that became a 3 hrs disgrace with people around me eating Publix Subs, the whole car smelled like a frikken Soup Kitchen!!!!

And next tell me there are Jets that Fly there, and I know that too.

Let's come up with the Underground Tube next !!!! If it's in Fla where I have lived since 1973...I have tried it !!!
I've never experienced any such thing on Amtrak lol. Where did people get hot Publix subs between Winter Park and Tampa? I'm assuming they were hot, as that's the only real way they would smell up a whole car.

The reason I much prefer a train over a bus (yes, I've taken Megabus too) is because it does not deal with traffic. That alone makes it much more comfortable to me. It only stops at designated stops. The rest of the way is smooth sailing with little to no interruptions.

Who knows, eventually they may very well be the solution to our severe lack of dependable (and useful) rail transit system in this country.
