Weren’t King Tides 2 weeks ago and/or how long should daytime/sunshine flooding last?

I have only been here 3 years (time flies) but there has been quite a bit of daytime flooding at certain intersections here in Brickell (Brickell Ave and SE 13th—in the vicinity of the Conrad Hotel) during this 2 week period, including as I am typing this. I am not talking about a small puddle either, more like a foot plus of water.

In the past, I noticed this phenomenon usually lasted only 3-4 days but not 2 weeks. Could there be some other possible explanation for this?

If I weren’t lazy about figuring out how to go about posting a pic or video on this forum, I would....the intersection I described above looks more like Brickell Lake than Brickell Ave this morning

Yes; the sewer drains could be blocked by detritus. I know that's the situation in my neighborhood two miles southwest of Brickell.

As of this early afternoon, the water has subsided.

Wonder if that might also have something to do with insufficient sewage infrastructure....on an unrelated note, I cannot help but notice a foul, raw sewage type of smell every time I walk past the JW Marriott...wondering if the city took into account the added burden placed on the existing sewage system with the addition of that monster Panorama project.

Are you asking "did the gov take into consideration infrastructure and resources of any kind, when promoting and approving development after development?"

The answer is "no".
