They just showed video surveillance of the building collapsing, and it was jaw dropping. They also showed first responders pulling a young boy out of the rubble, at which point I had to switch the channel. The parking area below appears to be mostly full, shattering my hope that it was mostly empty due to not being “in season”.

I fear the news on this is going to get really bad.

Built in 1981—curious if the building went through its 40 year recertification inspection or if it was scheduled for later this year….some pricey buildings nearby: Four Seasons, Eight Seven Park. Tragic event.

The grandmother of my child's schoolmate is reported as missing, probably trapped beneath the rubble.

Hurtful news.

One can only hope for a miracle survival.

I just saw a video clip of first responders digging out a young boy who seemed to be able to move his arms and head, a good sign.

So maybe there is some hope.
