I am looking to move to Miami with my family. My wife, 2 kids (ages 3 and 1), and our dog.

Looking for a relatively Jewish neighborhood (not religious or orthodox), similar to where we currently live in Bondi Beach Australia.

Don't mind condo living, want to be able to walk to coffee shops, restaurants, playgrounds and the beach etc with good schools/daycare close by.

Whilst it sounds like I am wanting everything because we are spoilt in Bondi Beach, I am sure the same exists in Miami.

Thanks in advance.

I 2nd this as well from a Realtor prospective.

Since you said not orthodox, that removes the North Miami Beach area (not by the beach at all) and Mid Beach section of Miami Beach. That is the most orthodox in the area. Surfside has orthodox as well, including restaurants that will cater to the locals, but also has a good mix of blue collar workers, families looking for a good school, snow birds, and tourists.

Thank you, I really appreciate it.

I've been told so many different places from coconut grove to coral gables and the ones you mentioned above as well. I'll research a little more on your suggested areas, thank you.

Watch out though, they are calling for a foot of snow and a week straight of highs near freezing!

Most people in Miami wear jackets like you see in Canada, and school doesn't close when it snows, since Miami is a hemiboreal climate.

I presume this is a joke.

It's a joke. It has been cool for us South Floridians, it's dipping into the upper 50s at night but the days are beautiful, mid 70s and low humidity. That's Fahrenheit.

Probably a right-wing nut-job. You won't run into those in Miami, however they are here on City-Data.
Yeah Bal Harbor, Sunny Isles, Miami Beach, Aventura. All of south FL is very Jewish friendly and has a good representation of Jewishness throughout S FL. You should feel comfortable here and welcome.

My wife is Jewish, and I am converting to Judaism, and we live just west of Aventura (Ojus/California Club) and this entire area of Northeast Miami-Dade/Southern Broward is one of the two most dominant Jewish regions of South Florida (along with Boca Raton). Depending on how far or close you want to be near a synagogue or chabad, there is also important middle-class Jewish populations in southern Broward (Hollywood and Hallandale Beach). What is different is that the type of Jewish populations vary, with a much higher Russian/Eastern European and South American Jewish population the Aventura area compared to a greater Northern transplant population in Boca Raton and southern Broward.

See. Climate change and sea rise is coming because we won't pay higher taxes.
