....until it's gone.

Hello everyone,

I grew up in the Ft. Lauderdale, then later in Miami and stumbled across this website while searching for "things to do" when I visit.

I can tell you, that since leaving S. FLA I have never been more appreciative of it's beauty and feel.

My last good times in MIA were my UM days several years ago which are now becoming distant memories.

I have been in the military (slightly before, during, and after) going to UM and I MISS MIAMI TERRIBLY! Now, "home" is Texas.

Anyway, I will be returning home from Iraq in about a month and want to spend some time visiting. Many great threads and ideas on stuff to do.....seems like too much to do in too little time.

I really miss the BIG CHEESE!!!

Anyway, like the title says.....embrace it....I've been all around the country and some of the world...AND THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME....Ft. Laud /MIA

everyone is different. Hope you can move back. I am not originally from here and I hate it. My mother left a few years ago and said she would rather open her wrists up than move back here (thats a direct quote).
So to each his own but I do hope you can make it back here if that is what your heart desires. Best of luck..

Thank you for all you have given up to serve in the military. We appreciate what you are doing for our country.

You are so right, sometimes we have to leave a place to understand how good we had it.

If you need ideas, please just ask, we have some good folks on here who will be happy to tell you about things to do in Miami.

I absolutely love Miami. It is rich with culture and diversity. I am completely enamoured with Coconut Grove. Words cannot express how much I love Miami. I have friends who are visiting Ft Laud in a few months and I have helped them with much excitement plan their trip. I will hopefully be visiting in July. Happy Memorial Day to all.
