Miami has passed San Francisco and Orlando as the 3rd-most visited city in the U.S. by foreigners for 2007. Miami is expected to pass Los Angeles in the next two years, as they are both almost neck-and-neck, and Miami is experiencing a huge increase in tourism.

1. New York City
2. Los Angeles
3. Miami
4. San Francisco
5. Orlando

6. Las Vegas
7. Honolulu
8. Washington D.C

I can imagine this might be a distinguished honor for some; I can't see how this coveted position is any better than receiving domestic visitors. I know from experience that Europeans are by and large cheap when they go on vacation, they don't tip well, they don't like air conditioning or ice cubes in their drinks, and they dont shave as well as Americans. Also, they consider a badet a shower.

Shouldn't the headline be, "Miami: Largest U.S. City Controlled by Foreigners"?

Miami : Most UnAmerican U.S. City ...OP, I don't know what you were trying to say. UnAmerican is not good! Foreign dominance is not good!

What are they coming her to see? Monkey Jungel? Parrot Jungle? The beach? Other parts of Florida have better beaches. Maybe they're all smugglers dropping thier human cargo off.

Business, conventions, cruises, beaches, zoo, theme parks, architecture, schools, art exhibits, museums, jobs, fashion shows, festivals, sports events, and not to mention the whole "I've been to Miami" ego. It's a city that people from around the world have on their lists of places to visit. It's not some random city, it's Miami.

Unamerican is a negative way to say International. Of course it's good. Miami is MORE than American - it's international. Des Moines is an American city. Miami is a world city. I'll vacation in Miami.
