I mean, I wouldn't go to Opa Locka to take a morning jog to get a breath of the fresh morning breeze, or walk my poodle while pushing a baby in a stroller.

But I don't see it as "ghetto" Its just a city bordered by a bunch of streets. A thug from Opa Locka can get in his car and stick it to somebody in Coral Gables or Aventura.

How many times do you see on the news some young couple gets robbed at gunpoint after a romantic evening downtown or in Coral Gables. Then they get interviewed on the news and say something like "That kind of stuff doesn't usally happen around here".

Opa-Locka's not bad at all. It's just a big conspiracy. The crime statistics are all made up.

I call it Poppa Glocka. But on a serious note, I wouldn't go outside and mingle with the locals, but it doesn't really scare me. Montell Heights in Nassau puts Chicago's South Side to shame.

Opa Locka is pretty industrial so at night the lack of people makes it scary. The residential sections? I wouldn't know. Most of my experience was working some commercial large warehouse listings in the 90s. I carried a gun when I had to show abandoned property because it was guaranteed to find at least one or two tweakers or crackheads sleeping it off.

I didn't know Nassau was that bad.
