haven't heard about that...I thought they were expanding the marina.

Maule Lake, btw, is off Biscayne Blvd near 140 St (I believe) in North Miami

I just found it! I found it! Right above Oleta between Biscayne & Eastern Shores! THAT'S what that water's called?!
So what do you mean they're gonna "fill it in"? Why?

anything attractive is filled in
they bury canals by running tubes and building a fence
they cut down beautiful towering australian pines (yes i know theyre non native) surrounding small lakes (like over by the old tamiami offramp)
they pave lawns and cut down trees when they move into a neighborhood
its sad but for most immigrants here, nature = poverty
this place will look like the concrete desert of los angeles in no time =(

Moved away from North Miami 4-1/2 years ago. Maule Lake is right behind Del Prado condo between their buildings and Williams Island. Del Prado is on Biscayne and 180th not far from Aventura Mall. It is a manmade lake and I hope they do not fill it in.

Maule Lake Marina used to be a client of mine...so I had to go up there occasionally and meet with the manager. I think her name was Jane

Default lake guy

Thought I would let you guys know that there are no plans to fill in the lake. We've owned the lake for many years--since it was dredged for Maule Industries. I recently had lunch at PF Changs there on the lake, and I really enjoyed the view!
