Finally moving on Monday and I'm just wondering some things to do. School isn't going to start until the 27th and neither will my job, I'm not going to know anybody and i'll be under 21 until October. Maybe some good places to go fishing? I'm up for any suggestions.. thanks!

Oh, and what is the closest Secretary of State and Post Office to Cocowalk?

Unless you have a boat, or like to fish off of a bridge, I'd probably reccomend Kelly Fleet out of Haulover. If you buy a booklet of fishing trips instead of a ticket at a time, you'll save a bunch of money. I usually buy a booklet of 11 tickets for $200.00. I usually go out on a week night due to the lighter crowds. The fishing isn't the best, but if you get there early, and tip the mate right off the bat, you may get a stern spot.

I like light tackle with a 1/4 oz ***. I attach a silver side, and let line out. It ususally produces plenty of yellowtail. If you get stuck on the side, on a day with a lot of current, you'll be miserable. The nice thing of it all is getting away for a few hours, catching the fresh ocean breeze, and looking at the awesome skyline. Good luck.

If you like Peacock bass you can catch them off canals.

I dont have a boat have caught huge ones. Tamiami canals are great but in truth most canals have something from large cichlids, etc.

Ofcourse dont eat them . I agree if your going to eat them go out on boat and go for salt though the lakes here are good to for eating peacock bass . Ocochobee is GREAT. I am heading there is couple hours .

Canal fishing for cichlids is only good during the day .
