I guess he thought you were cute! I know a straight, gorgeous guy who several times has gotten hit on by gay men since he was a teen - he just says, "No, thank you." Not a big deal. He gets hit on often by straight women too, says "yes" to those! lol

If you work/live in the west village...it will happen to you sooner or later...but the muscle heads really get hit on...it's like watching a hot babe walk past a construction site...the comments are basically similar...especially if they are wearing a tank top......

well, if what he said really happened then the guy was weird. not everyday people go around asking you about you sexual orientation.

HILARIOUS!!! ...That was too funny. Dont sweat it...Im from NYC, and people in the Village tend to be up front at times. I just tell them it's not my cup of tea, and walk away. Wild Style, I dont think many if any people will try to approach someone in Bed Sty or East Flatbush trying to hook up (man to man, that is). Man to woman is a different story.

For the most part, not trying to stereotype, but many Gay people tend to be friendly, so dont sweat it. Just laugh it off.

lol true. But still, the guy in the village used that area as a boramotor to say if your from NYC you will likely get asked that and it isn't true. He is in a heavily gay areas so naturally they will be more open. But this dude in Miami was on a boat, chilling and next thing you know someone asked him his sexual orientation. Its a bit much. But like you said, just shrug it off and keep it moving.

Happened to me all the time in NYC. But they didn't bother asking if I was gay. They just assumed I was until I said otherwise. But I lived in Chelsea not Flatbush.
