I was left a pecuniary bequest by my significant other. I was named in the Will before 'his kids' !! The 'kids' were -rest and residue-
Soooo... We live in another state, he owned property in Florida, the kids
sold the property, signed all the necessary papers, probated the Will in
Florida and I got NOTHING !!!! I do have a lawyer, just wanted to vent
and hear any input. I can't believe a Will can be so flimsy.

Here's the thing, wills are as good as the person who drafted them. Each state has their own laws, and if you get someone who doesn't know what they are doing, things can def. be messy when someone dies. If you have lawyers, let them do their jobs. If they suck, fire them.

Default Significant Other versus Spouse

You do not mention whether you were married to your significant other. If you were, you have a marital interest in the property and what the kids did was illegal under Florida law.

Sorry, I thought that would be understood, if we were married and we
were not, none of this would be happening. What the kids did is still
illegal, according to PBC probate clerk the executrix ( one of the kids )
signed papers saying I waived my bequest. These kids are in deep

Default Fraud

In that case, you have an action against the executrix for fraud and breach of fiduciary duty to the estate. In order to make your claim, you will need to hire an attorney and sue. The downside would be that the estate has already sold the home and spent the proceeds, in which case it would be very hard to collect. However, you do have an action. Good luck. The whole situation sounds painful and distressing.
