I live at a dadeland capri apt that rents for 1800 a month (3bed/2bath) and am looking to move out into a 1/1 (leaving my roommates behind). I'm trying to look for something affordable (like what I'm paying now) but can't seem to find ANYTHING for under 900. I pay 600 and thought it was reasonable for a 1/3 split of a 3bed/2bath condo, but I seriously cannot find ANYTHING in the area for under 900. Can anyone give me some advice or point me in the right direction (i.e. websites/real estate agencys)? I need to move out VERY soon and am at my wits end.

P.S. I don't care HOW GOOD the apts at Metropolis or anything in that little block are, I AM NOT PAYING OVER 1000 FOR A 1 BEDROOM! Thats insane!

You will not find a one bedroom apartment for $600 month in the Kendall/Dadeland Area.

In the Dadeland Area:
The Waterside Apartments are $905 a month for a one bedroom.
Gardens of Pinecrest begin at $925 per month.
At Harbor Key the rent starts at $935 a month.
At Nob Hill the rent starts at $945 per month.
Sherwood West will be $995 per month.

There is a small complex behind Pollo Tropical off of US 1, called Kendall House Apartments
that are close to Dadeland and are $850-$925 per month.
It is an older community, but gated and well-kept.
Those are the least expensive apartments in that area, although moving further West, may lower your rent slightly, it may be eaten up in gas sitting in traffic.

I hope that you are able to find something reasonable, but having lived here 20 years,
I have seen rents more than double in the past several years. It is an unfortunate reality.

I would suggest asking for help from a realtor to help you look,
as they will have access to other properties, (not just those professionally managed properties listed here.)

Good Luck!

You will never find a 1/1 for that price, you need to look South maybe in Cutler Bay in a rougher area you can find something in that price range.
